Ballari: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted a fresh search at the house of arrested accused Abdul Salam in the Kaul Bazaar area of Ballari as part of an ongoing investigation.Officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the NIA team visited Ballari in connection with a case registered in Andhra Pradesh’s NTR district. The case was filed against Rehmatulla Sharif of NTR district on allegations of promoting radicalisation and religious extremism through online platforms and maintaining links with a banned terrorist organisation.Investigators alleged that Abdul Salam, a native of Ballari, was associated with Rehmatulla Sharif and was arrested on March 26 in connection with the case. During the search, the NIA reportedly seized a mobile phone believed to be linked to Abdul Salam as part of its continuing investigation.
