INDORE: Raja Raghuvanshi’s mother on Friday appealed for justice after the Supreme Court refused to stay the bail granted to accused Sonam Raghuvanshi in her son’s murder case. Speaking to the media, Raja’s mother, Uma Raghuvanshi, said, “I request the Supreme Court to pronounce judgement in the case and put sonam behind bars, so that Raja gets justice.”“I request Mohan Yadav and Modi govt for CBI inquiry and early judgement in the case. If my son doesn’t get justice, women like Sonam will keep comitting such crimes,” she added further.Raja’s elder brother, Sachin Raghuvanshi, said the family was hopeful of getting justice.“We have hope that Supreme Court will grant us relief. I appeal to PM Modi and the President for early judgement in the case. We have been demanding CBI inquiry from the start. Due to police’s mistyping and shortcomings in the probe, we have still not got justice.”Earlier in the day, Supreme Court refused to stay bail granted to Sonam Raghuvanshi in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. A bench of Justices MM Sundresh and Sheel Nagu said it had reservations about the high court’s order granting bail but declined to stay it.The court however agreed to hear the Meghalaya government’s plea against the bail order.
