Led by Shubham Sharma, the Ghariyals won eight of their nine matches, with one ending in a no-result, to top the standings with 17 points and a net run rate of 1.04.Royal Nimar Eagles secured second place after a dominant campaign that saw them win seven of their eight matches. With 14 points and the tournament’s best net run rate of 1.38, the Eagles emerged as one of the strongest contenders heading into the knockout stage.Rewa Jaguars claimed the third spot with 11 points from nine matches, while Jabalpur Royal Lions sealed the final semi-final berth with 10 points. The Lions were helped by the shared point from Tuesday’s abandoned fixture against Bundelkhand Bulls at the Holkar Stadium.Before rain halted play, Jabalpur had raced to 96/2 in 8.2 overs. Openers Aryan Tiwari and Ajay Rohera added 53 runs for the first wicket, with both scoring 27 runs. Prince Wadhwani was unbeaten on 16, while Vedant Awasthi had smashed 21 not out off just seven balls when showers stopped play. With conditions failing to improve, the match was called off and both teams received one point each.The second fixture between Gwalior Cheetahs and Rewa Jaguars also fell victim to continuous rainfall and was abandoned without a ball being bowled, resulting in another shared point.The final standings reflected the competitiveness of this year’s tournament. Despite featuring several IPL stars, teams led by or featuring Rajat Patidar, Venkatesh Iyer, Madhav Tiwari and Ashutosh Sharma failed to break into the top four. Gwalior Cheetahs finished seventh with six points, Indore Pink Panthers sixth with six points, Ujjain Falcons narrowly missed out in fifth place with eight points, while Bhopal Leopards, Malwa Stallions and Bundelkhand Bulls occupied the remaining positions.With the league phase complete, attention now shifts to the semi-finals, where Chambal Ghariyals, Royal Nimar Eagles, Rewa Jaguars and Jabalpur Royal Lions will battle for a place in the MPL 2026 final.
