NEW DELHI: Parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed heavy rainfall on Tuesday evening, bringing temporary relief from prevailing humid conditions.Light to moderate showers were reported across several areas of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, and Faridabad, accompanied by overcast skies and gusty winds in some pockets.The rain led to a noticeable dip in temperatures, offering respite to residents after days of sticky heat.An alert for rain, heavy winds and thunderstorms has been issued for Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gautam Nagar and other parts of the capital.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast intermittent rain and thundershowers over the next few hours, advising commuters to remain cautious while traveling. Delhi is likely to witness partly cloudy skies on Wednesday.The IMD has issued a weather alert for Delhi-NCR, forecasting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at isolated places until June 25, even as the national capital continues to grapple with poor air quality.
