Pune: Leading academicians, policymakers and research experts will gather in Pune on Monday for a national round-table discussion on “Confidence in Research: Researcher of the Future – India Discussion”.The event, organised by Vishwakarma University, Education Promotion Society for India and Elsevier, is the second after Delhi saw 90 researchers participate.It will focus on building confidence in research and addressing challenges faced by researchers in a competitive and technology-driven academic environment.“Pune is an important higher education hub and ideal for discussions on the future of research and innovation,” Bharat Agarwal, president of Vishwakarma University, said. Sandeep Sancheti, vice-president of Elsevier India, will present findings from the latest Confidence in Research Report.Discussions will cover research integrity in the age of AI, talent development, research pressures and collaborative approaches. A special presentation on the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2025 will be delivered by Surya Prakash, deputy GM, Meritto.
