Hyderabad: After six months of investigation, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed a chargesheet against Gade Innaiah for allegedly instigating people to support the banned CPI (Maoist).“In the chargesheet filed before the NIA Special Court at Nampally, Hyderabad, Gade Innaiah (Gade Inna Reddy) has been charged under relevant sections of the BNS, 2023, and the UA(P)A, 1967. The chargesheet is based on various technical and other evidence collected by the NIA during the investigation,” NIA officials stated on Thursday night.Innaiah was arrested in Dec 2025 for allegedly giving a speech during the funeral of CPI (Maoist) Central Committee member Katha Ramchandra Reddy.“He had incited a gathering of around 200 people at the funeral meeting, urging them to actively promote the ideology of CPI (Maoist) and never let the revolution die. The accused also lambasted erstwhile CPI (Maoist) cadres who had surrendered their weapons before govt agencies,” NIA officials said.Investigators said he used to meet senior Maoists in the jungle areas of Chhattisgarh. He allegedly propagated the terror outfit’s ideology through a frontal organisation, ‘Bharat Bachao’, of which he was a co-founder.
