‘Welcome To The Jungle’ makers recover Rs 120 crore from secondary rights

According to Free Press Journal, as of now, the makers are rumoured to have finalised a deal of around Rs 120 crore from OTT, audio, satellite, etc. They will therefore have to recover a lot less from theatrical income. ‘Welcome’ is a big franchise. The earlier two films, ‘Welcome’ (2007) and ‘Welcome Back’ (2015) have great recall. So, the third part of the franchise is also carrying buzz. Since the secondary rights have already yielded safe numbers, the makers can breathe easy for now.

Akshay Kumar to get 72 percent IPR share of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’

Akshay is said to have charged a nominal fee of just Rs 1.8 crore for the film. As per the reports, once the movie starts generating revenue post-release, the actor is set to pocket a whopping 72 percent of the IPR share, with the producer holding on to the remaining 28 percent.

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ is the third film in the much-loved Welcome franchise. The film will also see Akshay and Raveena share the screen together after a gap of over two decades.
