Mangaluru: Vice-president of India CP Radhakrishnan visited Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala on Sunday and offered prayers to Lord Manjunatha Swamy.Dressed in traditional attire, he offered a special puja at the temple and visited the Annapoorna Chathra, where he appreciated the arrangements and various activities undertaken for the devotees.He subsequently met Dharmadhikari and Rajya Sabha member D Veerendra Heggade and his family as well. Despite tight security arrangements, the vice-president took time to interact with devotees waiting for darshan.Among those accompanying the vice-president during the visit were Karnataka governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta and other dignitaries. Beyond the official engagements, Radhakrishnan’s simplicity and humility left a lasting impression on devotees and visitors at the temple town.
