Luke Littler says Prince William could soon be enjoying a night at Alexandra Palace after the two spoke about darts during a special meeting at Windsor Castle. The teenage darts star recently received his MBE for services to the sport and revealed that the Prince of Wales told him the World Championship atmosphere at Ally Pally “looks like a good night out.” Littler then joked that he would happily help arrange tickets if the royal family wanted to attend later this year.The 19-year-old from Warrington described the whole experience as surreal. Speaking to the Press Association, Littler admitted he still could not believe he was standing inside Windsor Castle collecting such a major honor at such a young age. The world number one also spoke about the rapid rise of darts and how much attention the sport is now getting across the world as he prepares for another big Premier League night at London’s O2 Arena.

Luke Littler said meeting Prince William was one of the craziest moments of his life. The young star explained that the royal told him he had been following his career and was impressed by how quickly darts has grown in popularity.Littler told the Press Association, “Prince William said he’s been following the journey and we were just talking about how darts has blown up.”He added, “He even said himself it looks like a good night out, so maybe we’ll see Prince William at Ally Pally this year! I didn’t invite him, but if he needs a few tickets I’m sure myself or the PDC will sort some.”The teenager also opened up about how strange it felt arriving at Windsor Castle for the ceremony.He said, “Turning up to Windsor Castle, it was just like… ‘how am I here? Why am I here?’. It was a crazy experience.”While enjoying the recognition away from the dartboard, Littler is also fully focused on the Premier League finals. The world number one has faced boos from crowds over the past year in places including Liverpool, Brighton, Sheffield, and Alexandra Palace. But he says his answer is simple — keep winning.Littler said, “The only way to deal with it is to put your head down and win – and that’s what I’ve done.”The reigning world champion will face Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals. If he wins, another final against rival Luke Humphries could follow. The pair have dominated major tournaments recently and have met in the last two Premier League finals.Littler said, “If I can make it three finals in a row, I’ll be happy, but I’ll just try and beat Gezzy first.”
