IIIT-B admissions 2026: The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) has opened applications for admission to its B.Tech and five-year Integrated M.Tech programmes for the academic year 2026–27. The institute announced that admissions to all programmes will be conducted through a common application process, eliminating the need for separate applications for individual courses.The undergraduate programmes available for admission include B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS). The integrated postgraduate offerings include Integrated M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and Integrated M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Established in 1998, IIIT-B is a research-driven institution focused on information technology, data science, and interdisciplinary innovation, with postgraduate and doctoral programmes and collaborations across emerging technology sectors.Admissions process and programme structureIIIT-B stated that admissions to these programmes will not be conducted through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates have been advised to review the admission guidelines, eligibility requirements, and selection procedures available on the official admissions portal before applying.According to the institute, all applications will be processed through a unified admission system. Applicants will not be required to submit separate forms for different programmes and can apply through a single process for the courses of their choice.Focus on research and industry engagementThe institute stated that its undergraduate and integrated postgraduate programmes are designed to combine academic learning with research exposure and industry engagement. The B.Tech curriculum allows students to pursue specialised learning through an Honours option or broaden their academic exposure by opting for a Minor in a related discipline.The five-year Integrated M.Tech programme has been structured to provide opportunities for dual specialisation.
