Gandhinagar: The state govt said on Friday that 65% of its services are connected with DigiLocker, making digital governance simpler.An official statement said that at the recently held ‘National Consultative Workshop on Strengthening Cyber Security Framework for State Data’ held in New Delhi, Gujrat was among six states that were recognised for “outstanding contribution to DigiLocker integration.”Various departments and institutions of the Gujarat govt have integrated their services with DigiLocker, reaching 1.92 crore citizens in the state. Details of ration cards from the ration card management system (RCMS) portal of the food, civil supplies, and consumer affairs department can be directly accessed by citizens in their DigiLocker account. Similarly, important documents issued after Jan 1, 2016, such as caste certificates, income certificates, and domicile certificates, are also made available in citizens’ DigiLocker accounts through the ‘Digital Gujarat Portal’, single entry point to avail all e-services of the Gujarat govt.Municipal corporations like Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, and Jamnagar have also activated DigiLocker services for various citizen service documents.
