Actress Bhagyashri Borse has received the audience’s love for some of her previous South Indian films. As she will next be seen starring opposite Akhil Akkineni in the upcoming village romance drama, ‘Lenin’ and the Tamil film ‘Seyon’ alongside Sivakarthikeyan, the actress spoke about her characters in the films.In a conversation with Variety India, Bhagyashri Borse shared that she looks forward to starring in films that help her improve as an actor and simultaneously raise her profile. She also added that in both ‘Lenin’ and ‘Seyon,’ she will be seen in different roles. She said, “I am looking forward to signing films that help me grow as an actor and raise my profile. The audience will see me in a different light in both ‘Lenin’ and ‘Seyon.’”
Bhagyashri Borse talks about ‘Lenin’ and ‘Seyon’ role
“In ‘Lenin,’ I play Bharathi, a mischievous girl who holds her ground when the situation demands it. She is as independent-minded as her male counterpart. As for my role in “Seyon,” I can’t reveal much except that the character I play is integral to the film,” she said, talking about the films.
Learning langauges to elevate performance
Having worked in both Telugu and Tamil films, the ‘Mr. Bachchan’ actress also revealed that she is learning both languages. She mentioned that she dubbed her film ‘Kingdom’ with Vijay Deverakonda but will not for ‘Lenin.’ “I am learning both languages, that is correct. I did dub for my first film, ‘Kingdom.’ But with ‘Lenin,’ I’m not able to, only because there’s some slang involved. I also dubbed for ‘Kaantha,’ but we ended up using a different voice to get the dialect right,” she said.She also adds that she is taking a personal effort to make her performance feel more authentic. “Learning a new language is hard work. If I really want to connect with my audience, I ought to know the language that I am acting in. So, that’s just a personal effort that will help me in the long term,” she said.
Bhagyashri Borse on Bollywood return
Bhagyashri Borse made her debut in film with the Hindi film ‘Yaariyan 2’ in a cameo role and also shared that she is “waiting for the right opportunity” to mark her return to Bollywood.
