Filmmaker Chidambaram, known for his hit 2024 thriller-drama ‘Manjummel Boys’ is now gearing up for his next big outing named ‘Balan The Boy’. The makers officially announced that the movie will be released in theatres worldwide on June 19, 2026.

A multi-language release

The director took to his Instagram handle to share a poster of the film that features the child actor in a yellow poster. The post also reveals that the film will be released in five languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Earlier, the makers revealed that the film will be screened at the March du Film section of the Cannes Film Festival 2026. “Taking Balan The Boy to the world stage. The film will be showcased with a Market Screening at the Marché du Film during the Cannes Film Festival on the 14th May,” the production house wrote. The makers have not revealed much about the story yet. Still, the small update shared by the team has already created curiosity among movie lovers.
