Exclusive - Udne Ki Aasha actor Kanwar Dhillon: Mother’s Day should be celebrated 365 days a year

Kanwar Dhillon, who is currently winning hearts as the lead in Udne Ki Aasha, recently spoke about the special bond he shares with his mother. On the occasion of Mother’s Day, he spoke about the life lessons he has learnt from his mom.Speaking about the importance of mothers, Kanwar shared that he doesn’t believe love and gratitude for mothers should be limited to a single day. “Mother’s Day is every day for me. I don’t think it’s right to dedicate just one day to mothers. It should be celebrated 365 days a year because there is no greater force than a mother. Nothing in this world can compare to what a mother does for her family and children,” he said.Kanwar also admitted that while he expresses his love through actions, he wishes he could say it more openly to his mother. “As you grow up, a certain barrier naturally comes between parents and children. Of course, my parents know how much I love them, but I still wish I could express it more often in words,” he shared emotionally.Reflecting on his mother’s journey, Kanwar shared how she put her own career on hold to raise him and his brother, only to later carve out her own path as a successful entrepreneur. He recalled that she once worked with Neel Kamal, but stepped away from her job when her sons were born. Once they grew up, she launched her own salon, which is now nearing its 25th anniversary. Kanwar expressed his pride in her, saying she still works tirelessly and manages everything with grace.Kanwar further recalled some of the most emotional moments he has shared with his mother. “When I signed my first show and bought her something from my first paycheck, the tears in her eyes were unforgettable. Even while hosting Star Parivaar last year, I could see how proud she was sitting in the audience watching me,” he added.Sharing the most important lesson he learned from her, Kanwar said, “My mother always taught us that positivity begins at home. From keeping your surroundings neat and tidy to being disciplined and independent, these are values my brother and I have carried throughout our lives.”Summing up his relationship with her, Kanwar concluded, “My mother is the most influential and inspirational figure in my life, and truly the best mother a son could ever have.”
