On the work front, Salman has two major projects in the pipeline. The first is ‘Maatrubhumi’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangada Singh. Originally inspired by the Galwan Valley incident and previously titled ‘Battle of Galwan’, the film has undergone reshoots after direct references to China and the incident were reportedly removed.It was initially scheduled for an April 2026 release but has since been delayed.His second upcoming project is a yet-to-be-titled film, tentatively called SVC63, produced by Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film marks Salman’s first on-screen collaboration with actress Nayanthara, with Rajpal Yadav reportedly part of the cast as well. Filming has recently commenced.

Salman Khan has made a special appearance in Riteish Deshmukh’s ambitious project ‘Raja Shivaji’, based on the life of the founder of the Maratha Empire, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The superstar played the role of Jiva Mahala, the guard of Maharaj during the battle of Pratapgad, in the film.He received a lot of love and appreciation for the same from the audience.The film was released in cinemas on May 1, 2026.
