Actor-filmmaker Adivi Sesh is basking in the success of his latest release ‘Dacoit’ co-starring Mrunal Thakur. To celebrate it, the team held a success meet on Saturday. During the event, the actor shared a touching moment from his trip to Bengaluru.

Adivi Sesh tells a fans’ emtional story

During the event, Adivi Sesh talked about meeting a lawyer from Tamil Nadu, who told him a very personal story during his ‘Dacoit’ promotions in Bengaluru as per a report by Cinema Express. “He said he had been attacked by a group of people and was hospitalised for a long time. After that, he was scared to step out. He told me that watching ‘Major’ gave him the courage to face life again,” Sesh said. He also added, “The first thing he did after coming out was watch this film (Dacoit). He said he loved it and had come specially to meet me.”

Adivi Sesh on meaning of cinema

This moment made Adivi Sesh think deeply. “At that moment, I realised that while we keep thinking about cinema and business, we sometimes forget humanity. He reminded me of that, and also of why I make films,” he said. He also spoke about fans gifting him an Indian flag. He said this love feels very real. “Success comes only with hard work,” he added. He shared that he always wanted to make meaningful films, and ‘Dacoit’ gave him that happiness. Adivi Sesh spoke about the tough shooting conditions. “We shot in extreme conditions, including mountains with temperatures touching 45 degrees. We faced risky situations, especially during the climax,” he said. He said the team worked very hard to make the film look real. He also talked about the music. “Many people appreciated the climax background score. This is the first musical hit in my career, and all four songs from the film are trending,” he said.

About ‘Dacoit’

Directed by Shaneil Deo, ‘Dacoit’ is co-written by him and Adivi Sesh. The film involves Mrunal Thakur as Juliet, who seems to betray Adivi Sesh’s character Hari, which results in him being sent to prison. Later, Hari escapes jail to confront her. The movie also features Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj and others in key roles. The film crossed Rs 50 crore after its release on April 10.
