Elon Musk’s social media platform X (Formerly known as Twitter) has faced a service outage in US and globally affecting thousands of users. Many users reported that they were not able to load the feed and several faced login errors. The outage peaked with more than 25,000 complaints and the issue is still going on. According to a report by Downdetector, the issues with X started around 2:03 a.m. ET and quickly surged to more than 25,500 complaints within hours. Users reported problems with the app, feed/timeline, and website, with many unable to refresh their timelines or post updates. The disruptions affected both mobile and desktop users.As per Downdetector, 46% of global users reported problems in accessing the app while 16% of affected users struggled with accessing the website. Roughly 27% said they experienced server connection failures and problem related to feed/ timeline.
X recovered after brief outage
The reports dropped later in the night. The outage was described as brief but widespread, impacting thousands of users across the U.S. and other regions. X did not immediately respond to requests for comment, leaving the cause of the outage unclear. The support page of X also shows that the issue is resolved and the platform is now working fine. “All systems are operational,” reads the support page.
