After Amitabh Bachchan began shooting for the sequel to the 2024 mythological epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, there have been reports that Prabhas will soon join the sets. Now latest reports suggest that the Rebel Star will be working with Nag Ashwin from April 10.As per a report by 123Telugu, Rebel Star Prabhas may soon start shooting for the next part. It is suggested that he could join the film on April 10, 2026. But there is still no official confirmation from the team.
Big B talks about missing fans
Big B has already started shooting for the sequel. He shared pictures from the sets where he is seen as Ashwatthama, reprising his role from the first part as the son of Dronacharya. The actor looked excited and happy to be back in the role. Amitabh Bachchan shared on his blog that he could not meet his fans on Sunday. He said, “Told them that this Sunday I shall not be able to come, since I was shooting in Hyderabad .. but still they come .. to confirm ..but apologies .. work first .. rest later ..(sic).” He also spoke about the film and said, “Kalki 2 begun the work .. and shall ever cherish the love and affection of anticipated presence on the Sunday .. but hopefully shall be with all this coming Sunday .. My love.” His words show how busy he is with the shoot.
Reunion with Kamal Haasan
The actor also shared his joy of working again with Kamal Haasan. He said they are meeting after many years. He said, “And meeting up with the great KAMAL HAASAN … we shall be working together after ages .. last in Giraftar.” They last worked together in ‘Geraftaar’.

Last week, another report from the agency also mentioned that Dulquer Salmaan and JD Chakravarthy have also joined the shoot.
