Dewas man rides horse to work

INDORE: As residents continued to grapple with long queues and fuel anxiety on Wednesday, one resident in Dewas took an unconventional route to beat the rush. Gopal Thakur, a collection agent at a private bank, made news after a video of him riding a horse to his office went viral on social media.Thakur, a resident of Radhaganj, attempted to refuel his two-wheeler early Wednesday morning. Upon seeing the overwhelming crowds and long waiting time at local petrol pumps, he decided to turn back. Determined to reach his workplace on time, he opted for a more traditional mode of transport: a horse. “I saw massive queues at the pump and realised I wouldn’t make it to work on time. To save time and fulfil my professional duties, I decided to take the horse instead.”The sight of a professional in formal attire commuting on horseback through the city streets quickly grabbed the attention of onlookers, many of whom recorded the scene. The footage has since become a symbol of the unusual measures citizens are taking amidst the current fuel panic.
