A few hours ago, Dwyane Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, spoke to Eating Well about experiencing menopause in her 30s.The Being Mary Jane star said, “At first, it was just shame. I was embarrassed and wanted to hide. My symptoms started in my late 30s, and not many people in my peer group were experiencing that yet, so I felt very alone.”Gabrielle Union added, “Over time, though, learning more and talking about it helped me feel empowered. I realized I could ask for grace, from myself and from others.”The popular actress continued, “A hot flash doesn’t change who I am or what I have to say. It’s just something happening in my body, and life goes on.”

This was not the first time that Gabrielle Union has spoken about the changes she has experienced in her body over the last decade or two.The Riff Raff actress has also been very public about how she experienced close to “eight or nine” miscarriages as she and Dwyane Wade planned to expand their family.While she still wanted to carry on with IVF, Gabrielle Union has admitted that it was Dwyane Wade who stepped up and stopped her from harming her body anymore.The two then decided to go for surrogacy and ended up with a beautiful daughter, Kaavia Wade, in 2018.However, Gabrielle Union has also been public about how she was never comfortable with the idea of surrogacy.Despite facing a lot of hurdles in life together, including Dwyane Wade’s cancer diagnosis, Gabrielle Union and the NBA legend continue to be deeply in love and committed to each other.
