WWE superstars endure one of the most physically grueling schedules of any other athletes in the world. Years of physical performances and 300+ days on the road take a toll on most in-ring performers. Despite that, WWE top star The Miz has no plans to slow down and has not contemplated in-ring retirement even at the age of 46.

Why have thoughts of in-ring retirement not crossed 46-year-old WWE veteran The Miz?

In a recent interview with Z100 New York, The Miz was asked if he has thought about hanging up his boots. The Awesome One said that he still feels good in the ring and has had no signs of getting slow or sluggish.“I still feel good, man. Like, if I started feeling aching and pain and my energy was low, I don’t feel that right now. I’m 46 years old, and I still feel very, very good in the ring. Like, when I’m in the ring, you know when you’re feeling slow? I don’t feel slow or sluggish. I feel as good as I’ve ever felt”, said the multi-time WWE Champion.Furthermore, The Miz believed that his two decades of experience have come in handy and he has been putting together some remarkable in-ring performances. He said, “I feel like the matches that I’m putting together are as good as they’ve ever been. I feel like I’m smarter, and I think that takes a lot of it as well, knowing what to do and when to do it and how to do it for an audience.”

The Miz has been a part of WWE for two decades

The Miz debuted in WWE as part of the reality TV series for a WWE contract, Tough Enough, in 2006. He slowly transitioned into an in-ring performer and garnered attention for his stint as a tag team with John Morrison.
