The conversation on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 also touched upon Sai’s upcoming film Ramayana, in which she plays Goddess Sita opposite Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Rama.
Speaking about the experience, the actress revealed that taking on this role made her think differently about her approach to acting.
She explained that whenever she plays a character, she usually thinks about what she can bring to that role. But playing Sita made her ask a different question: what could the character teach her?
Sai shared that she began thinking about the knowledge and understanding she could gain from portraying such an important figure.
She said, “This time, I did not want to use my mind too much. But then I thought, whenever I play a character, I usually think about what I can do for that character. But for the first time, while playing the role of Sita Maa, I found myself wondering, ‘What will I receive from this experience? What knowledge will I gain? What will I take away from it?'”
Her comments offer a glimpse into how personally she has approached the role.
With Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi stepping into the role of Sita, Ramayana is already one of the most talked-about upcoming Indian films.
