Bokaro: Police have registered an FIR against three men for organising a Dandiya event on Oct 18 in Sector 5 allegedly without enough crowd control measures in place. “The district administration has also decided to bar them from holding any future events in Bokaro,” Chas SDO Pranjal Dhadha said.According to the FIR, police received information around 8.50pm that an unusually large crowd had gathered at the venue. “There was a huge crowd and had the potential to create chaos and a law-and-order problem,” police stated in the complaint, adding that the organisers failed to ensure adequate safety arrangements and comply with prescribed security norms.“The organiser had initially sought permission to hold the Dandiya event at another venue, but the administration did not grant permission for that venue. Later, after tickets had already been sold and on their repeated request, permission was granted for Mansarovar Garden on the assurance that the event would be conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner,” Dhadha said.
