For most brides, the journey to their marital home is an emotional part of the wedding. But Aina and Mausina had something a little different in mind. The two sisters wanted to make the trip by helicopter, and their husbands made sure their wish came true.In Rajasthan’s Mewat region, brothers Rohil Khan and Sahir Khan arranged a helicopter ride for their brides after their nikah on Sunday. The family reportedly spent ₹5 lakh on the booking, turning what would usually be a quiet post-wedding journey into an occasion that drew a crowd from across the village. As the helicopter arrived, villagers gathered around the landing spot to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds. Many also took photographs beside the aircraft, making the occasion a talking point in the area.
A wedding gift that came from the heart
According to an India Today report, Rohil and Sahir, sons of a farmer from Alwar district, married two sisters from a nearby village. Rather than settling for the usual wedding departure, the brothers decided to do something special after learning that the brides wanted to travel to their new home by air.And so, a helicopter became part of the wedding plans. For Aina and Mausina, the ride was a chance to experience something they’d wished for. For the family, it was a way to make their first journey after the wedding memorable. The unusual arrival soon attracted plenty of attention, with hundreds of villagers gathering to watch the helicopter land and take pictures.
The family spent ₹5 lakh on the helicopter
According to the grooms’ uncle, Shahabuddin Khan, the family hired the helicopter from the Pinan rest house on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The booking cost ₹5 lakh for four hours. The helicopter spent two hours in one village and another two hours in the other, allowing both sides of the wedding celebrations to be part of the arrangement.Shahabuddin also said the helicopter company had obtained the required permissions from the relevant departments.
Villagers gather to welcome the brides
The helicopter ride quickly became the highlight of the wedding, drawing curious onlookers who wanted to see the aircraft up close. For a village where a helicopter landing isn’t an everyday sight, the arrival was quite an event. But beyond the photographs and the excitement, the reason behind the arrangement was fairly simple. The brides had expressed a wish, and the two brothers wanted to make it happen. The ₹5 lakh expense may have surprised some people, but for the families involved, it helped turn an ordinary part of a wedding into a memory the newlyweds and their village are likely to talk about for years.
