A much earlier start to the SAT
Talluri’s academic path had already moved beyond the usual pace before he sat for the exam. While in middle school, he completed 14½ high school credits. That coursework helped him qualify for college-level summer programs at Harvard and Rice.His father and middle school counselor encouraged him to take the SAT, and he registered in January. He then spent about five months preparing, working with a tutor, using online study material and completing more than two dozen practice tests. FOX 5 reported that he had already achieved a 1600 on three practice SATs before taking the official examination.Talluri ultimately sat for the official SAT test during the month of June. The period of waiting that ensued was particularly significant, as his score underwent a rigorous verification process before it could be officially released. When the much-anticipated result finally arrived, it revealed that he had achieved a perfect score of 1600.This achievement is remarkable not just for the score itself, but also due to Talluri’s young age at the time of taking the exam. The percentile comparisons provided by the College Board for the SAT are primarily based on students who are in grades 11 and 12, or those who have recently graduated. Significantly, Talluri was only 14 years old when he completed the test.
He is already taking college courses
The SAT result is just one part of Talluri’s academic workload. He is now in ninth grade at Fulton County’s Innovation Academy, where he is taking two college-level courses through dual enrolment. Outside the classroom, he takes part in hackathons around Atlanta and is involved in chess and aviation.
