GHAZIABAD: A 13-year-old girl died after falling from the 10th floor of a residential building in Sahibabad on Saturday night.Her family alleged that a schoolteacher had harassed her and that she had recorded everything in her diary.According to police, the deceased a resident of Gulmohar society in Sahibabad. Her father is a businessman in the city.A senior police officer said that the deceased was a student of class 7th of a private school in Sahibabad.Late on Saturday evening, the deceased had left the flat after telling her mother that she would return in a while. Shortly afterward, they were informed that she had fallen from the 10th floor.When her mother reached downstairs, a doctor living in the society was giving CPR to her daughter. After this, the student was taken by car to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead during treatment after a short while.Acting on the information, police reached the spot, took the student’s body into custody and sent it for postmortem. After the postmortem on Saturday, police handed over the body to the family, and late in the evening the family performed the student’s last rites at the cremation ground on the Hindon riverbank.A family member said that the girl was harassed by her school math teacher for the last three months. She mentioned everything in her diary. Some days ago, an internal exam had been held at the school and the answer sheets had been shown to the students on Friday. She scored 30 marks in math after which she was angry and scared.Rijual, DCP of Trans-Hindon said police had not found any suicide note at her house. The family had neither lodged a complaint nor shown police any writing by the girl.“The body was sent for autopsy and reports are awaited,” he said.
