The Kremlin on Thursday said no decision had been taken yet on possible December summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, saying it was too early to discuss the agenda for such a meeting, news agency Reuters reported.The United States has invited Putin to a December G20 meeting in Florida’s Miami, where he could hold a summit with Trump, US secretary of state Marco Rubio said on Wednesday.Asked what the two presidents might discuss, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters: “It is premature to speak about this right now. No decision has been made yet. We certainly appreciate this kind invitation, we value it, and it will be reviewed and coordinated, after which an appropriate decision will be reached.”Trump has been seeking to broker an end to the war in Ukraine since returning to the White House in January last year, but efforts have so far failed to produce a breakthrough.Peskov reiterated Moscow’s position that Russia is seeking a peace settlement rather than a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine.The Kremlin also said the European Union’s decision to transfer revenue from frozen Russian assets to Ukraine was illegal, calling it “theft”.However, the Trump last year hosted his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in effort to bring peace in ongoing Russo-Ukraine war.
