Amaal Mallik has issued a strong warning to social media users targeting his family amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the song ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’. The music composer recently called out Salman Khan Films after the production house shared an anniversary tribute to ‘Hero’, featuring the song sung by Salman Khan, without mentioning Amaal, who composed the track.After addressing the issue in the comments section of Salman Khan Films’ post, Amaal turned to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday to urge social media users to leave his family out of the controversy.

In a strongly worded post, Amaal said that criticism directed at him was one thing, but attacks on his family would not be tolerated.“A statutory warning to the entire audience on each & every social platform of the world… Not a word about my family will be tolerated. Targeting me is part of your game plan, gives you some likes and eyeballs – GREAT! You are welcome,” he wrote.Amaal claimed that certain anonymous accounts on X had been targeting his brother, Armaan Malik, for supporting him. He also clarified the history of ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’, stating that the original version was performed by Armaan, with music composed by him and lyrics written by Kumaar. According to Amaal, that version had received approval before Salman Khan later recorded his own rendition.“FYI – Without Me & Kumaar sir there would be no song to sing 🙂 Without Armaan there would be nothing to play to Salman sir. Without SK’s face & voice version the song wouldn’t be where it is today, never denied that,” he wrote.
Amaal Mallik speaks about his family’s legacy
Amaal said that while the issue might appear minor to some, it carries significant personal importance for him and also reflects wider concerns within the artist community.“You can mock us but not our legacy….” he wrote, adding that his family’s musical legacy goes back 76 years to when his grandfather began building it.He said that he and Armaan have devoted themselves to carrying forward their father Daboo Malik’s dreams and the family’s legacy. Amaal also expressed frustration over what he described as repeated references to luck and nepotism.“But enough of the dirty games, calling it luck or nepotism, mud slinging time and again. I am sick of each and everything at this point and it’s taken me 20 years (started at 16) to get this angry with the politics & hate within the industry & the idiots of the Internet. Amaal Mallik warns of legal action
In the same post, Amaal said that he would take legal action against people who threaten or target his family. He claimed that he would track the IP addresses of those involved, locate them and personally file FIRs against them.“If henceforth anyone from this industry or outside of it tries to threaten my family. You ever come after my people. Watch what I do! A warning from an elder son, an elder brother & A man that you should think three times or more before messing with,” the tweet concluded.
