Belagavi: Youth aged 15 to 29 years have been invited to participate in the online quiz competition under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, an initiative aimed at encouraging young people to contribute ideas towards building a developed India by 2047.Addressing reporters on Thursday, district youth officer and My Bharat implementing leader Sangram Savant said online registration, which began on Aug 17, will remain open until Sept 30. The competition will be conducted in six stages, and winners will get an opportunity to participate in the National Youth Festival in New Delhi from Jan 10 to 12.Savant said VBYLD is a flagship programme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and is organised around National Youth Day, observed on Jan. 12 to mark Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary.The VBYLD 2026 edition attracted over 50 lakh participants nationwide. The programme includes six tracks, with the Viksit Bharat Challenge quiz serving as the flagship event. The merit-based selection process progresses through essay writing, district and state championships, culminating in the national dialogue.
