A mini-truck collides with two bicycles in Alandi

Pune: Three people were injured after a mini-truck hit two motorcycles in Alandi on Wednesday morning. Two of the victims suffered fractures in the accident.The Alandi police registered a case of negligent driving against the mini-truck driver based on a complaint lodged by Laxman Kubade, a 55-year-old plumber, who suffered a fracture in his left thigh.Police said Kubade was going to Kelgaon near Alandi for plumbing work around 10am on Wednesday. “A mini-truck travelling from the opposite direction hit Kubade’s motorcycle in one of the narrow lanes in Alandi. The mini-truck did not stop and hit one more motorcycle, plying behind Kubade,” an officer from the Alandi police said.He said Kapil Rasole (45) and his son, Kunal (17), who were on the other motorcycle, fell on the road. Kunal suffered a fracture on his hands, while his father suffered minor injuries. “Kubade, apart from the fracture, also suffered injuries on his face and left eye,” he said.The officer said the police have registered the case under section 184 (rash driving) of the Motor Vehicle Act and sections 281 (negligent driving) and 125 (act endangering personal safety of others) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). “We have served a notice to the mini-truck driver,” the officer said.
